Project goal

The project “DiagNET – diagnostics of the future” aims to develop and apply new diagnostic procedures in a competence network of industry and science in the four-country-region of Lake Constance and beyond. Those diagnostic procedures should be locally applicable in medical practices as well as in laboratories. Thereby long transportation routes to clinics will be avoided and the medical care in rural areas will be considerably improved. The partners support the project by performing services in research and development, in production and marketing, in testing, in application as well as in consultation. The project “DiagNET” is coordinated by BioLAGO e.V., the life science network around Lake Constance.

Project phases

  • Conception of the diagnostic network with companies, research facilities as well as clinics and laboratories (overview of the project partners)
  • Development of new diagnostic procedures and improvement of already existing tests
  • Establishment of the network and testing of diagnostic procedures for the application.

At the end of the project the competence network continues working on the development and application of new diagnostic procedures. The project “DiagNET – diagnostics of the future” is funded for three years by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund within the scope of the program “Interreg V Alpenrhein-Bodensee-Hochrhein“. The lead partner and funding recipient is BioLAGO e.V. Further project supporters are Landkreis Konstanz and Stadt Konstanz.
